Model 1912 manufactured at the Steyr arsenal in 1919 and later converted to 9mm Parabellum for German police use in World War II. Left side of slide exhibits a "08" stamp indicating its conversion, followed by the serial number and "STEYR1919". Frame bears an "(Eagle) / N" on the left side with an "(Eagle) / L" police stamp on the right. Right side of frame is stamped "W-n19" on the trigger guard. Metal components exhibit a reapplied blue finish (likely from the time of conversion), with some smaller components being strawed. Frame is mounted with 2-piece checkered wood grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain the vast majority of their reapplied blue finish, showing few spots of wear overall. Strawed components are mostly in-the-white and show age related discoloration. Bore is bright, exhibiting some oxidation in the grooves and retaining good rifling throughout. Grips show some nicks and impressions, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. MLW
