Manufactured 1945. Serrated slope front sight, flat top square notch rear sight with "P" proof in front of rear sight. Left side of slide with "REMINGTON RAND INC. / SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.". Barrel with "P" on left lug, "HS" on right. Left side of frame with "FJA" inspector proof, "P" proof near checkered magazine release, "2" subinspector proof on left side of trigger guard. Right side of frame with crossed cannon cartouche at rear, "UNITED STATES PROPERTY / NO 2382215" behind slide stop hole, "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" ahead of hole. Right side trigger guard with "M" subinspector proof and "X" at bottom. Replacement checkered walnut grips. Small parts comprise narrow checkered hammer, serrated slide release, thick tab checkered safety, long grip safety, short stamped trigger, checkered magazine release, arched serrated mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Housed in a leather holster marked "BOYT 44" on rear. CONDITION: Very good, retaining the vast majority of the factory parkerization with some fading to a silvery hue on the slide. Handling marks throughout, some of which are through to silver. Safety plunger is a blued replacement. Replacement grips are very good with some handling marks and verdigris from holster. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with visible rifling and some frosting in grooves. Holster is very good with some crazing to flexible joints but pliable; some verdigris to brass components. EMW
