Lot consist of: (A) Colt Woodsman Match Target semi-automatic pistol. 1st Series gun made 1939. "MATCH/TARGET", with a bullseye in the center, marked on the left side of the barrel. "THE WOODSMAN" marked on the left side of the chamber. Standard markings on the left side of the slide. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. This fun was upgraded with a Kings vent rib, sights, and barrel weight. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered "Elephant Ear" wood grips with silver Colt medallions. Includes an original blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 60% of its original finish with spots of finish wear and handling marks. Grips have minor handling marks. Bore is clean with strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has light finish wear. (B) Colt Match Target semi-automatic pistol. Made 1951. Company address on the left side of the barrel. Rampant Colt over "MATCH TARGET" on the left side of the chamber. Standard markings on the left side of the slide. Ramped blade front sight and adjustable U-notch rear. Factory blued finish. Added trigger shoe. Aftermarket checkered wood grips, with thumb rest on the left panel. Includes an original blued steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% or less of its original finish with heavy finish wear and spotting. Grips have handling marks and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine.
