Swiss Waffenfabrik Bern Model 06/24 Luger semi-automatic pistol. Made circa 1920s at "WAFFENFABRIK/BERN", as marked on the toggle, under a Swiss cross. Bern proofs throughout. "P56" marked on the left side of the chamber. No import marks found. Matching serials throughout, including the grips. Standard blade front sight and U-notch rear. Checkered wood grips with a light oil finish. Nickel finished magazine, with a wood bottom (un-numbered). CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its original finish with light wear. Grips are excellent with a few handling marks. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine is excellent. JWA
