Pre-war German Mauser S/42 code P.08 Luger semi-automatic pistol. Made "1938" as marked on the chamber. "S/42" marked toggle. No import marks found. Matching serials on the visible numbered parts, including the grips. "(Eagle) / 63" grips on the right side of the chamber. Standard blade front sight and V-notch rear. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Checkered wood grips with a light oil finish. Includes a nonmatching aluminum bottom magazine with a blued steel body and an "(Eagle) / 63" Waffenamt on the base. CONDITION: Metal retains 80% of its original finish with light wear and scratches. Grips are excellent with crisp checkering. Bore has some light frosting but remains strong rifling. Mechanically fine. Magazine has finish wear. JWA
