1 of only 6,500 Model 400 pistols delivered to the German military by Astra in 1941, identifiable only by serial number. Left side of frame and slide bear Spanish proofs. Major metal components are blued, with some smaller components being polished in-the-white. Features include a 5 - 7/8" barrel, half-moon front sight, U-notch rear sight, 8-round magazine, as well as 2-piece checkered wood grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel. CONDITION: Metal components retain bountiful amounts of their original factory blue finish, exhibiting few spots of minimal wear and a few scattered marks from handling and storage overall. Mirror bore, exhibiting well-defined rifling throughout. Grips show some smoothing to the checkering, as well as a few nicks to the diamonds, but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. Grip screws retain traces of their nitre blue finish. MLW
