Remington Rand Model 1911A1 semi automatic pistol with holster. Made 1945 in the last contract assigned to Remington Rand. "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" marked above the serial number, with "M 1911 A1 U.S. ARMY" marked in front of the the slide release lever pin hole. Left side of the slide has typical "REMINGTON RAND INC./SYRACUSE, N.Y. U.S.A.". "FJA" inspectors marked on the left side of the frame. "P" firing proofs on the barrel and on the top of the slide. "HS" marked High Standard contract barrel. Blade front sight and U-notch rear. Arsenal reworked parkerized finish. Checkered Keyes fibre grips. Blued steel magazine is marked "R" on the lip for Risdon. Includes a "1944" dated Warren Leather Goods brown leather holster. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% of its arsenal reapplied finish. Grips are excellent. Bore is clean with crisp rifling. Magazine has light finish wear. Holster has wear and some oxidation on the hardware. JWA
