Octagonal barrel made without sights with a proof over chamber that appears to be a crown over a mounted rider, but is soft. Barrel retained by dual pins. Ramrod with a trumpeted 2 stage head, retained by a single thimble. Plain undecorated lock. Trigger guard with simple spring that is notched to push on rear of trigger and function as a simple reset mechanism. Fishtail butt with hexagonal faceted buttcap. Ebonized stock. CONDITION: Very good, bright metal has been cleaned in the European style over some light spotted oxidation with delamination visible from hand forging throughout. Barrel has a few spots of patina that does not detract. Stock is good with handling marks throughout, including a few scrapes to bare wood through ebonization. Mechanics not verified as no spanner is included, bore is very good with a minimum of oxidation, but appears to have been aggressively cleaned as well. EMW
