Manufactured 1925. Half moon front sight, U notch flat top rear sight. Left side of slide with correct 2 line 1 block patent and address information, right side with "COLT // AUTOMATIC / CALIBRE .45 // (Rampant Colt)". Checkered spurred hammer. Checkered small parts including thick tab safety, slide release, short solid trigger, and arched mainspring housing with lanyard loop. Long grip safety. Barrel unmarked. Fully checkered walnut grips. 2 tone magazine with "COLT 45 AUTO" on baseplate. Housed in a Colt maroon flip top box marked to a different gun, with Colt pamphlet and bore brush. CONDITION: Retains the vast majority of the Colt blue finish with scattered small dings and nicks that are silvering, including a few larger spots on front strap and right side of slide. Its almost appears like the gun has something dripped on it or it was abraded. Box is very good with some age related distress to corners but complete. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent. EMW
