Signed and dated "P. W. MCCOBB '80" in the lower right corner, for artist Paul W. McCobb who was authorized by the Winchester Repeating Arms Co. to produce 260 of these commemorative plaques before the company dissolved later that year. The artist estimates less than 100 were actually cast. This example is numbered "2". It boldly features a Winchester 1866 carbine in the center with the classic horse and rider logo in the upper left and "WINCHESTER" script logo below. Adding to the Western motifs, the background is sculpted to resemble rough barn wood. Raised elements are polished bright, with the background and gun stocks finished matte gray for contrast. Plaque is 33 - 3/4" x 14 - 1/2". Bronze is still mounted in its original shipping crate. CONDITION: Plaque is excellent with bright brass surfaces and nearly all of the background finish retained. A few minor spots of patina present along with a few marks in the rifle stock's finish. Shipping crate shows wear and chipping from storage and transit. BAS

This is not a standard shippable item and will require 3rd party shipping or pickup arrangements to be made.
