Kentucky percussion rifle made circa 1850 by an unknown smith. Gun is similar to rifles made in the Upper Susquehanna school with Roman nose architecture and 2 piece entry pipe with rivet. 42 -1/4" octagon to round .50 caliber smoothbore barrel with rifle sights. Percussion lock with double set triggers and fish head hammer. Plain red stained maple full stock with brass hardware. Comes with original ramrod. CONDITION: Overall good with metal showing a brown patina with light surface rust. Pitted bore with hammer not holding. Good looking gun fresh out of the attic. DLM
