Circa 1947. Gun is built with blued steel 28" barrels with chambers that measure 3" and ejectors. Rib is machined matted, concave, tapered, and with small round white mid bead and a larger white round front bead sight. Left barrel reads "WINCHESTER - 20 GAUGE 2 3/4 CHAM." Bottom of barrels read "WINCHESTER PROOF STEEL", "MOD","IMP CYL". Barrel flats with serial number "18480", "DELUXE", "2 3/4" and Winchester proof marks. Black boxlock receiver is stamped "DELUXE FIELD" on bottom. Water table stamped "MADE IN U.S.A. MODEL 21", WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO NEW HAVEN. CONN." and list of patents. Serial number "18480" is also stamped under top lever. Gun is auto safe. The blacked single mechanical trigger is built with a barrel selector. Trigger is protected by a blacked trigger guard which extends to its blacked bottom tang. Safe slide is serrated and the word "SAFE" in gold forward of it. Top lever thumb is checkered on left side. The gun's feather crotch American walnut stock has 2 checkered panels, checkered straight hand grip. Buttstock is finished with a leather covered recoil pad. Matching splinter checkered forearm with roller release has blacked iron metal. CONDITION: Excellent. Barrels retain 99% of their recent bluing. Action is mechanically sound. Trigger is crisp and ejectors are timed well. Stock and forend are good with some handling marks. Nice gun! CP
