Manufactured 1918. Half-moon front sight, round top U-notch rear sight. Left side of slide marked with 2-line 2-block patent and address information, with uncircled rampant Colt at rear. Right side of slide with "AUTOMATIC COLT / CALIBRE 38 RIMLESS SMOKELESS". Left side of frame with serial number, trigger guard with VP proof and "1" subinspector proof. Colt grips with central rampant Colt in a circle, and "COLT" in banner across top. Last 3 digits "010" on inside of the slide. Spurred case colored hammer. CONDITION: Excellent, retaining the vast majority of the Colt factory bluing, with some marks from handling and use. Slide has some silvering to high edges, and some brown toning, primarily on right side near legends. Frame in commensurate condition of silvering to high edges, some pings around front link pin, possibly from incorrect disassembly procedure. Normal haloing around lanyard loop. Grips excellent. Mechanically fine, bore is excellent with strong rifling and some minor frosting in grooves. EMW
