Colt Government Model 1911 semi automatic pistol. Made 1926. 2 line company address and patent dates on the left side of the slide, with typical markings on the right, in addition to a rampant Colt pony. "GOVERMENT MODEL" marked over the serial number. "VP" proof on the left side of the trigger guard. Standard blade front sight and u-notch rear. Factory nickel finish on the metal components. Imitation stag grips. Includes an unmarked polished steel magazine. CONDITION: Metal retains 85% of its finish with light wear and handling marks. Blade sight was painted red at some point. Grips are excellent. Bore has some light frosting, and remains strong rifling. Magazine has light finish wear. JWA
