Chinese Shansei C96 semi automatic pistol with stock. Made early 1930s in the original run. Chinese characters on both sides of the frame. No import marks found. Matching serials on the left side of the chamber, bolt, bolt stop, rear sight, hammer, trigger and back of the frame. Grips are correctly not numbered. Large blade front sight and rear tangent adjustable to 1,000 meters. Original blued finish. Lanyard stud and ring are present. 14 line wood grips. Includes a later production oil finished wood stock. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with wear and areas of cleaned patina. Grips have a few handling marks and scratches. Bore has some light frosting, and retains strong rifling. Mechanically fine, but there is some storage grease in the internals. Stock has handling marks and scratches. There is some light surface rust on the stock lug and hinge. JWA
