German World War II K98 sniper rifle ZF39 scope can with shoulder strap, for what appears to be either a "single claw" or "turret" sniper rifle model, retaining 90+% of its era-applied dark green paint with scattered marks and freckling. One corner of the lid has a 1/2" dent on top and a 1/2" crack on that lower corner. Lid is correctly marked "jvb", and "WaA542" from the factory, and a rifle serial number of "887" upon issue. Can interior has the 2 brown felt pads which protect the lenses of the ZF39 sniper scope. Lid release mechanism and side "D-rings" are present and functional. The correct, and uncommon, green web shoulder strap for sniper scope cans is attached with a green painted steel adjustment buckle, and its 2 "phosphate washed" steel attachment clips, with freckling.
