German World War II "Organization Todt" officer's M43 cap marked "Carl Halfar, Berlin und Griesen", "Org Todt, Wiesbaden", with a size stamp of "57". Olive wool body exhibits only very light wear, and the front section of the pull down flap has the correct tape reinforcement present. Flap is secured by 2 buttons which are original to the cap. The olive Bevo trapezoid is correctly machine sewn to the cap in the "zip and flip" manner, where the top is sewn on, and then flipped down for the remaining edges to be straight line stitched. Olive rayon lining is intact with no visible damage, and the partial leather sweat band is marked "Qualitats Marke", with light soiling. The 2 flap pulldowns are made from the same olive rayon. The cardboard bill liner is intact, has 2 creases, and is covered by olive wool on both sides. CONDITION: Overall excellent. WEZ
