German World War II Luftwaffe RLB "Luftschutzverband" officer's visor cap made in a blue-gray tricot wool with light soiling and wear, and several spots of moth nips. Black center band with very light wear, is slightly loose and buckled to the left of the wreath. Silver bullion DLB eagle and wreath with cockade have been reapplied with visible threads on the inside, with light wear and patina and a few frayed threads. Officer silver bullion chin cord has light wear. Black vulkanfibre visor appears to have been reattached, exhibits very light crazing, with a medium brown underside with crosshatching and light wear. Interior is fully lined in a light brown rayon with light damage and staining. Celluloid sweatshield is 5-10% intact. Light brown leather sweatband has moderate wear, staining, and reattached to the visor. Consignor has provided a "capture paper", dated Sept 20, 1945, which states "2 Hats German".
