German World War II M24 hand grenade case designed to hold 15 stick grenades, retaining approximately 75% of its era-applied dark green paint with freckling, dust, and stains. Case is marked on both the exterior and interior "15 Stielhgr. 24.", "1938", "Zum gebrauchbeipacken", "15 B.Z.24 - 4 1/2 Sek", and "15 Spr. Kapseln" in white paint which translates to "15 stick grenades", "case dated "1938", "packed for use", "15 4.5 second fuses", and "15 blasting caps". Case handle is complete and functional, as well as the 4 "D-rings", with remnants of a paper label. Included is the original grenade rack in its era-applied rust primer, and marked "BZ24", "Kupplungestucke", and "Sprenkapseln" in white paint indicating where the grenade components are stored within the rack. The rack is rarely encountered. Lot also includes 15 nicely-made reproduction M24 stick grenades which fill the rack. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
