Lot consists of 2 visor caps brought home by US veteran Clarence Laushell, whose personal items are listed elsewhere: (A) German World War II Heer infantry officer visor cap made in a Feldgrau tricot wool with light soiling and wear, with moderate damage consisting of several dozen moth nips, several being 1/4". A dark green wool center band with one visible moth nip, and light soiling, with intact white piping exhibiting light wear and soiling. The Heer aluminum eagle, wreath, and cockade appear to be originally applied with patina. Silver bullion chin cord is undamaged. The black vulkanfibre visor exhibits light crazing, with the underside in a medium brown with faint crosshatching and light wear. The interior is fully lined in a light rayon with light damage and staining. The celluloid sweat shield is is missing, stitching is present, as well as the initials "W.K". The medium brown leather sweatband has moderate staining, wear, and the same initials. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. (B) German WWII Heer enlisted Feldgrau tricot wool visor with light green piping, missing insignia, misshapen, light wear and damage, chin cord with heat damage, rayon lining, cracked sweat shield, with 40% of the sweatband detached, and size stamped "56". 2 Heer and Luftwaffe aluminum cockades are included.
