German World War II First Model Luftwaffe Dagger with nickel plated blade maker marked “F.A. Helbig”. Scattered freckling and light streaks can be seen throughout the blade. The aluminum crossguard and pommel are still bright with a light nicotine patina throughout. The guard and pommel swastikas retain most of their original gold anodizing. The wire bound, leather wrapped, wooden grip with light patina and some areas of scuffing down to the base leather. The scabbard is also leather wrapped with light scuffing throughout. The lower drag, center band, and throat body are all made of aluminum which has remained bright with only mild yellowing to the original protective lacquer. Full length aluminum hanger chain and clip are still attached with light wear and patina. CONDITION: Excellent. DMW
