A Third Reich Hitler Youth Standard Bearers Gorget. The gorget is made of silver electroplated brass which has light patina throughout. The separately attached Hitler Youth eagle emblem was silver electroplated and retains remnants of the original rhodium finish in the recesses. The eagle emblem is slightly loose on the shield. Above the eagle is a scroll with stamped numbers “410” for Hitler Jugend Bann 410. The scroll also has slight movement as well. All 3 retaining clips remain intact on the reverse of the gorget. It appears the backing wool may have been replaced at one time. A small “C.E. Juncker” maker mark can be seen on the center attachment clip. A partial chain accompanies the gorget, but cannot be attached to it as some links are missing. CONDITION: Very good. DMW
