Late 19th century, Victorian era, smoothbore black powder signal cannon with swelled style breech made to resemble a Civil War Blakely rifle. High quality turned brass barrel affixed to a cast iron casemate style carriage without wheels. Carriage retains original paint and striping designs. Trunnions are marked "FROM / R.C. DIAMOND & CO. / BOSTON / MASS". CONDITION: Good overall with no mechanical issues. Barrel and touch hole show light green corrosion that next owner can easily remove. BRM.
