A nice brass and possibly German silver model with 1875 pat. date and full Kelly "Rochester and New-York" hallmark on underside of base. The hand blown, clear globe is nicely engraved "HOSE 5" in fern cartouche. Lid reflector appears to be German silver as there is no brassing evident. The finial has a brass apparatus hook attached. There are several stress cracks in the base and some solder repairs but the lantern displays well. Screw fount is intact and includes a No. 1 functioning ratchet burner.
