An Adams & Westlake 1882 pat., double guard, No. 39 brass top bell bottom model made for the Cheshire RR, with "CHESHIRE RR" nicely embossed in the lid reflector. The bayonet base has a lightly-stamped 1882 A&W hallmark, and is complete with glass fount (no. 1 "Minot" burner), and has brakeman's (ice) spikes. The molded, No. 39 extended base globe is copper wheel engraved "C.R.R" and shows minor wear. Lantern appears to have been nickel plated at one time but mostly worn off now. Metal is smooth, and this unit is display-ready.
