Lot consists of 40 boxes each containing 50 primed No. 4 paper empty hulls. Shells are headstamped "J.P.&S. V" (Likely James Purdey and Sons) with a "MADE IN ENGLAND" ink stamp on the tan cardboard hull. Housed in the original wood and wire shipping crate. CONDITION: Very good. Majority of boxes are still tied closed with twine. Some boxes have punctures. The shells in an open box are clean with some light patina forming. Crate is serviceable with some expected wear. These would make an excellent accessory for the signal cannon collector! BAS
