Circa 2000. An Italian-built 16 gauge sporting game gun with 28" mono-bloc blued steel barrels, 2 - 3/4" chambers. This true scaled frame for a 16 gauge, special Auto-ejectors, double triggers and automatic safety. File cut solid top rib with a brass front bead and a solid side rib. Italian proofs on the left side of the barrels and the barrel flat. The left side of the top barrel is also marked with the importer "NEW ENGLAND ARMS KITTERY PT. ME." Left side of the jeweled barrel near breach is marked "16.70" The coin finished boxlock action is bulino game scene engraved with game birds and is supported by light scrolls. The right side of the action body is bulino hand engraved with a grouse, left side a partridge, and the bottom a pheasant. The bottom of the action body is also gold inlaid with "N.E.A. inside a double-lined gold inlaid oval that is interrupted by 2 birds in flight and "LX 900" also is gold inlaid. The right side of the trigger plate is engraved "ICAM". The blued top lever is pierced. The beautifully figured reddish-brown deluxe Turkish walnut stock has a traditional English straight hand grip, 2-panel checkering and ending to a plastic buttplate. Game forend with Anson-style push-button release. Weight: 6 lbs. 8 oz. Choke: T - MULTI, B - MULTI. CONDITION: Excellent near new condition. Barrels retain 98-99% original blue. Buttstock and forend with minor handling/storage marks. Trigger guard, top lever and safety slide approximately 95-98% blue. Mechanics crisp. Bores bright and shiny. Likely never fire outside the factory. (CP)
