Imperial Austro-Hungarian Franz Jospeh Order in Case of Issue. The award is produced of multiple pieces of gilded brass with red, black, and white enamel highlights. The front of the award has an extremely light patina and retains most of the gilding. The enameled areas are without damage. The ring is maker marked but is illegible. The award is without ribbon. The black leatherette covered case is embossed on the lid with the initials “F.J.O.” for “Franz Jospeh Orden”. The exterior of the case has minimal wear. The underside of the case is dated “1914”. The interior of the case has the makers logo and name on the upper inside lid. The base of the cases interior is lined with green crushed velvet. CONDITION: Excellent. PROVENANCE: Lt. Robert A.
