DSP. Sign is Maker Marked Baltimore Enamel & Dated July 1912. An outstanding example of this very early Porcelain Flange Sign from American Express Company. CONDITION: Side one is in excellent condition throughout the field showing incredible color & gloss throughout the Cobalt Blue Porcelain with no chipping in the field. Side one shows some very minimal surface scratching as well as some light outer edge chipping, Grade 9.0+. Side two is also in outstanding condition showing excellent color & gloss throughout the field showing one minor nick in the L of Letters as well as some very minimal edge chips, Grade 9.0. The flange portion of the sign shows some chipping at the mounting holes but overall an outstanding example of such an early Porcelain Flange Sign.
