Sides of box with silver acanthus leaves, hallmarked on loops, and silver brocaded wire. A cypher is affixed to the front, looks like "TRDG". (B) English cartridge box with floral engraved perimeters and hallmarks for Birmingham sterling silver, 1863. Bradenburg cypher with eagle affixed to front. Sides of box with silver acanthus leaves, hallmarked on loops, and silver brocaded wire. W.J & Co maker mark unidentified. CONDITION: Both boxes have tarnishing to silver, (B) somewhat darker than (A), which can easily be cleaned. Leather has cracked in a few areas, exposing wood core, but still attractive. Brocade on (B) has lost approximately half of the silvering, but still appealing. A nice lot of boxes. EMW
