Manufactured circa 1950s on a blued aluminum round butt J frame with 2" barrel chambered for .38 Special, ramped front sight, frame notch rear, desirable alloy 5-shot cylinder, case hardened hammer and trigger, and checkered walnut grips with S&W medallions. Housed in an appropriate red 2-piece box. CONDITION: Very good. Bountiful amounts of factory finish are retained with some light wear at muzzle and other high spots, in addition to a drag line and a few other scattered marks. Grips very good showing a few minor impressions. Excellent bright bore and crisp mechanics. Box is good showing some expected wear along edges and other abrasions from storage and display. BAS
