Bead front sight on island, U notch rear sight dovetailed horizontally into the break action lever. Top rib of barrel reads "WILKINSON, GUNMAKERS PALL MALL LONDON. S.W.". Left side of strap marked "WILKINSON WEBLEY". "ENGLAND" export stamp on left side of barrel, ahead of cylinder. ".450/.455" caliber marking on lug. Cylinder has proofs in gullet and over each chamber. Matching serial numbers observed on right side of frame and left side of frame under grips. Last 3 digits found stamped on grip scales internally. Numerous British proofs found on frame including Birmingham proof view and proof marks, and Nitro proof. Right side also has Webley winged bullet logo and serial number. Last 3 digits of serial number found on barrel lug. Trigger guard with Wilkinson serial, 4332. 2 piece checkered walnut grips retained by a single screw through an escutcheon, left scale with silver medallion insert. Rotatable lanyard loop. CONDITION: Very good plus, retaining the vast majority of the high polish English blue finish with sharp legends, some of which still show the distension from application of stamp. Some silvering to high edges throughout, and some handling marks and dings to silver. Grips are very good, smoothened from age, with some handling marks. Mechanically fine, bore is very good, but back of cylinder has been shaved to accept .45 ACP on moonclips. Straps have significantly less blue than balance of gun. Normal halo at butt from lanyard loop. EMW
