Very nice example of a World War II US Navy Chelsea ship's clock. The clock was manufactured by Chelsea Clock Co. of Boston, Massachusetts, and is marked as such on the face, as well as "U.S. NAVY / SER. NO. 76385E". This example is housed in a thick plastic case with a glass cover which is also marked to the company on the reverse. The clock features an F-S adjuster to quickly fine tune the speed at which the clock is running and is complete with its original key marked "Chelsea" in script writing. CONDITION: The plastic is nicely preserved and does not exhibit any major cracks. The glass exhibits 1 significant scratch with some scattered blemishes but is otherwise clean. When wound, the clock ticks and the hands move. Overall very good. JLD
