Original Browning Brothers pre-Winchester Model 1885 High Wall in Schuetzen configuration made by Browning Brothers between 1879 and 1884. 32" octagon unmarked barrel in .32-40 caliber with spirit level front sight, nicely plugged rear seat, and Winchester-style tang Vernier peep sight. Case hardened thickside action with plain trigger. Walnut checkered pistol grip Schuetzen style stock with nickel-plated Swiss buttplate and factory pieced wood. Matching checkered forearm with plugged area for palm rest. This rifle is very similar to one pictured in theWinchester Book. CONDITION: Barrel has faded to a silvery patina along with action. Wood has dings and marks consistent with age. Shootable bore with good mechanics. A hard rifle to find. DLM
