Savage Model 1899 lever action rifle built by Savage Arms Company, Utica, New York in 1900. Blued 22" octagon barrel with Rocky Mountain front sight and rear Marble's style flip down sight and Lyman tang peep. Barrel marked with "SAVAGE ARMS Co. UTICA, NEW YORK". Blued action with brass counter, case colored lever, and lever safety. Walnut standard stock with crescent steel buttplate and matching standard forearm. CONDITION: 80% barrel blue with light edge wear. Action worn to a silvery patina with lever worn to a plum color. Traces of original varnish with light scratches and dings and kill notches on comb. Good bore and mechanics. DLM
