This belt rig has an 1851 eagle saber belt plate, appropriate for an infantry sergeant, and has an infantry cartridge box, cap box and bayonet scabbard. The belt is later, with the hasp attached by splayed rivets and the brass hook attached by a single large rivet. The hasp fits the plate, but is a little loose. The plate is the 1-piece wreath style. The German silver wreath is missing the bottom center. The bayonet scabbard is a very good condition late war scabbard for a .58 cal. bayonet. The cap box has an inspector stamp and maker mark by Nece. The 1864 cartridge box is made and marked by Haedrich. All loops, buckles and tabs are present, as are the magazine tins, inner flap, side ears, implement pocket, etc. CONDITION: Very good, but the lower portion of the wreath is missing from the plate.
CIVIL WAR NCO PLATE, CARTRIDGE BOX, CAP BOX, BAYONET SCABBARD.
