Lot consists of infantry cartridge box on shoulder belt and infantry belt with bayonet, scabbard, and cap box. (A) M1861 infantry cartridge box and sling. Maker marked by Corbet of St. Louis. All plates, buckles, straps, and tins in place. CONDITION: Very good. Areas of finish loss on sling from flexing. Thongs replaced to hold plates. Latch tab broken. Good color and finish to box. (B) Waist belt with original arrow back plate and C-clasp keeper. Cap box by Garcelon and Covell, 1863 dated, contains caps. Bayonet is standard US .58 caliber, smooth metal, nice color. CONDITION: Very good. Scabbard shows bends and wrinkles, finish loss but no breaks or holes. Cap box lacks fleece and pick. Belt good, slightly stiff.
