Lot consists of 2 items: (A) Confederate tin drum canteen with web strap. Typical drum style canteen of tinned iron. 3 brackets in place. Spout is 2-piece tin soldered in place. Heavy, old web strap showing stains, dirt, a tear, knotted below each upper bracket. CONDITION: Very good. Tinning is gray. Light scattered, dusty brown. (B) Western theatre style Confederate cavalry spur with partial strap and buckle. Deep patina to brass. CONDITION: Very good, barn-find condition. Some rowel points missing, but rowel present and turns freely. Often associated with camps of Wheeler's cavalry.
