Savage Model 1895 lever action rifle built for Savage Arms Company by J.M. Marlin Company between 1895 and 1899. Blued 26" octagon barrel with German silver sheared blade front sight and rear Buckhorn adjustable rear sight with barrel marked "SAVAGE REPEATING ARMS Co.". Blued action with brass counter and inspection hole bolt, case hardened lever, and lever safety. Walnut standard stock with steel crescent buttplate and matching walnut plain forearm. Comes with factory letter indicating shipping date and destination. CONDITION: 80% fading barrel blue with edge wear and some corrosion. Action worn to a silvery patina with lever fading to plum. Wood has traces of original varnish with heavy usage marks and dings. Shootable bore with good mechanics. DLM
