Savage Model 1895 lever action rifle made for Savage Arms Company, Utica, New York between 1895 and 1899 by the Marlin Firearms Company. Blued 26" octagon barrel with Marlin period "Savage Repeating Arms Co." address in .303 caliber with added Tru-Glo front sight and rear buckhorn adjustable sight. Blued action with brass counter and hole in bolt, lever safety, and fitted with Eckner "ECHO" side mount with Weaver K-3-F crosshair scope. Walnut fancy figured checkered stock with smooth added buttplate. Matching fancy figured checkered splinter forearm. CONDITION: 90% original blue with splotchy corrosion areas. Wood has traces of original high gloss varnish with handling and usage dings and marks. Buttplate could be a replacement. Good bore and mechanics with clear optics. DLM
