"23" serial observed on right locking lug, right side frame, trigger guard, underside frame, top plate, and wrist. Unmarked, but of the design done by Ebenezer Pierce. Primitive bead front sight on ring soldered to muzzle. Manually operated, with left lever opening the action and right cocking the action. Accompanied by 2 Pierce bomb lances with cruciform heads and quad finned rears. CONDITION: Very good, especially considering the environments that these guns often operated in. Some casting flaws throughout from manufacturing process, and with numerous marks from handling and use throughout. Brass has been cleaned with area of scratches visible through, and splotches of what appear to be areas of chemical cleaning. Mechanically fine, bore is very good with some fouling from use. Bomb lances are very good with dark areas but overall very good, 1 lance has 2 missing fins, of which 1 is included. EMW
