German World War II Heer Army enlisted visor cap for either General Staff or Veterinary branch, made in a Feldgrau tricot wool with light to moderate soiling and moth tracking, as well as a dozen or so nips. A dark green wool center band with light wear and damage, and the crimson piping has light wear, soiling, and damage. The Heer aluminum eagle is hand sewn to the cap with broken pins, and the wreath and cockade appear to be originally applied with patina. Enlisted leather chin cord attached with light wear overall, and a crack to the left of the cockade. The black vulkanfibre visor exhibits light crazing, with the underside in a medium brown with a faint crosshatch pattern, with light wear. The interior is fully lined in a light brown rayon with no visible damage and very light staining. The celluloid sweat shield is 40% present. The medium brown leather sweatband has moderate staining, light rim fraying, and is detached from the visor. CONDITION: Overall very good to excellent. WEZ
