Winchester Model 1873 lever action rifle made by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company in 1875. Blued 24" octagon barrel with button magazine, bead blade front sight, and added dovetail with early style aftermarket flip sight. Barrel marked with Winchester address and King's improvement. Blued first model frame with early style thumbprint dust cover and special order single set trigger. Plain walnut stock with crescent buttplate with trapdoor. Matching walnut standard forearm. Comes with Cody letter confirming configuration and production date. CONDITION: 80% fading barrel blue with edge wear and added plug in original sight dovetail and added dovetail with replacement flip sight. Barrel has under channel indicating a possible barrel switch. Action has 80% blue with light corner and handling wear. Set trigger is out of adjustment with otherwise good mechanics and bore. DLM
