Sako Model L579 Forester bolt action rifle with scope. Made 1964 in Finland. No import marks found. "Bofors Steel" marked on the right side of the barrel. Hooded, ramped blade front sight with no factory rear iron sight. Factory blued finish on the metal components. Grooved receiver. Varnished wood stock with fine checkering on the wrist and forearm. Sling studs and swivels present. Factory plastic butt plate and capped pistol grip. Includes attached sling and Redfield 2x-7x scope with Sako style rings. CONDITION: Metal retains 90% or more with light wear and handling marks. Wood has a few handling marks and scratches. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine. Scope is clear with a crisp crosshair reticle. JWA
