Third Reich 28” Railway Eagle made of bronze. The Eagle measures approximately 28” in length, and 16” in height. The Eagle is made of cast bronze with heavy patina to the obverse and reverse. The reverse of the Eagle has 3 studs which have evidence of them being cut when the Eagle was removed from a wall. 4 countersunk holes are drilled through the eagle for mounting. A small maker mark on the reverse of the Eagle for the firm of “Garthe” can be seen. Above the maker's logo is a stamped “Rg5”. CONDITION: Excellent. DMW
