Pre-WWII German 5.4mm (.22 Short/Long) single shot target pistol (Scheibenpistole). May be a Model 1894. Underside of the 16" fluted matted barrel has the serial number (1632), and the right side of the barrel is marked with the three German "BUG" proofs, and "5.4mm". Right side of receiver is marked with the "U" and "B" proof. No import marks. Top strap has rear sight mounted to a base, but the elevation blade and adjustment screw are missing. Standard German target front blade sight is drift adjustable for windage. Blued receiver, trigger guard, and butt cap have light engraving. Action is opened by pulling the trigger guard downward. Dual set triggers are present and functional. 2-piece walnut pistol grip panels are checkered and have left side thumb rest. CONDITION: Overall finish on the the pistol is excellent. Barrel assembly retains 65-70% of its bluing. Receiver, trigger guard, and butt cap retain 75-80% of their bluing, while the front/ back strap retains 55% with light freckling. Walnut grip panels are very good to excellent with light wear. Rear sight blade and elevation screw are missing. Bore is bright and pistol is mechanically sound. WEZ
