Extremely rare set of Pythons, one of 500 made for 1989 only, with mirrored serial numbers (EYES195 and 195EYES in this example) and "SNAKE EYES" rolled on barrels. Shared features are 2 - 1/2" vent rib barrels, simulated ivory grips scrimshawed with a pair of snake eyes dice on one side and a diamond royal flush on the other. Pistols have nicely contrasting Royal Blue and Ultimate Stainless finishes as befitting their serial numbers. Correct lighted Snake Eyes case with dice, poker chips, Snake Eyes branded playing cards, and mounting rods. Factory boxes with correct serial numbers on end flap. Adding to the collectability of these revolvers is their use in an August 12th, 2021 video by Hickok45, shooting them on his range to promote them for the upcoming NRA Auction. As such, this lot is accompanied by the target shot by Hickok45 and a letter from him congratulating the new owner and offering some advice on sighting. CONDITION: Overall excellent, retaining virtually all of their finishes. Both guns have minor marks from storage and use, and the grips are free of chips or cracks. Mechanically fine, bores are excellent with crisp rifling and some minor residue in the rifling of the Ultimate Stainless gun. Boxes are very good with some age-related distress, including some spots of white from removal of adhesive, sleeve for the blued gun has a tear at the end flap measuring 2" deep with longest tear 3 - 1/2". Case is excellent with intact rods; most rods are broken as they were not strong enough to stand up to use. Card decks are excellent and are complete. Lighting does not work and needs attention. This set is one of the more difficult sets of Colt revolvers to find and these are in fantastic condition, and they are accentuated by their association with a well-respected member of the online gun community.
