Savage Model 1895 lever action rifle. Made 1970, to commemorate 75 years of Savage. Company address and caliber marked on the barrel, in front of the rear sight. Circled "SP" proofs on the chamber. Stock has a commemorative "Indians Head" coin. "MODEL/1895" is engraved in gold inlay on both sides of the frame. Octagon steel barrel with blade front sight and flip-up V-notch rear. Frame is factory drilled for a scope mount. Original blued finish and light oil finished wood stock. Golf washed lever and smooth metal butt plate. CONDITION: Metal retains 98% of its original finish with a few handling marks. Wood is excellent. Bore is shiny with crisp rifling. Mechanically fine.
