Manufactured in 1977 to commemorate Smith & Wesson's 125 anniversary with stampings on left of barrel "SMITH & WESSON/125TH ANNIVERSARY" and on left of frame "SMITH & WESSON/1852-1977/125 YEARS" around the S&W monogram logo. Other features include high polish blued finish, 6 - 1/2" barrel with matte rib, red insert ramped front sight, adjustable square notch rear sight, 6-shot fluted cylinder chambered for .45 ACP, case hardened wide target trigger, and oversized plain S&W medallion target grips. Housed in the appropriate hardwood display case with commemorative book and medallion. CONDITION: Excellent. Virtually all factory finishes are retained with a few light handling marks from storage and display. Fine bright bore with little evidence of use beyond factory testing.
