Parker VHE Grade side by side shotgun made by Parker Gun Company in 1923. 30" factory Vulcan Steel barrels with 2 - 3/4" chambers in 20 gauge and having fixed Full and Modified chambers with matted rib and twin bead sights and ejectors. Factory O frame with line VH Grade engraving, automatic safety, and double triggers. Factory walnut checkered straight grip stock with added Decelerator pad. Matching walnut checkered splinter forearm latch release. PROVENANCE: This Parker shotgun once belonged to Alex Metzler who caught the eye of famous Philadelphia Athletics Manager Connie Mack and upon conclusion of a successful season he presented each team with a gift; Alex got this Parker in 1927. Gun comes with an interesting history packet and pictures of the former owner and his 1928 baseball card. CONDITION: 90% remaining from total reblue with some light handling marks. Wood has been cleaned and wrist has pin repair and added recoil pad. Good bores with several mechanical issues: ejectors do not function; rib is loose and missing solder; action is loose on face; safety does not function correctly. DLM
